Our Helpful Staff

Valerie Gardner presents nature workshops for children approximately aged 3-10. Workshops run 7 days a week. We also offer workshops for Moms/Dads and 2-3 year olds. There are several groups that meet every week: Workshops concentrate on different animal and plant groups and include a pony ride. Payment is due at the beginning of the workshop.

Pony Power: come meet two wonderful horses, one only 32 inches tall! Learn what horses eat, how to take care of them, how to keep them clean, healthy and happy. Take a pony ride and then do a horse related craft project to take home. Remember boots are best for mucking about in the paddocks.

We also offer several kinds of parties.Check the pages on the left.

All programs are originated and run by Valerie Gardner: B.S. Early Childhood, M.S. Elementary Counseling, Art Therapist at Pathways Center for Families, Former Kindergarten Teacher at Episcopal Academy, Naturalist at Bartrams Gardens and teacher for The Philadelphia Zoo Education Department and Docent Council. Founder and operator of Camp Bell Inc., retired Art and Nature teacher at Launfal School and retired director of Thorncroft Equestrian Center summer camp in Malvern.
Presently I am an active volunteer at Longwood Gardens working on the wildlife tree while earning my certificate in floral design. I am also a critter maker at the Brandywine River Museum, a member of the Delco bird club, a member of a French conversation club and the Philadelphie Accueil.
